Antonio started in the theatre, this we already know of course. But did you know he could sing? He sings very well indeed. As well as being an accomplish musician (Antonio can play Guitar, Piano, Violin and a little Trumpet) He has sang many a song! Amongst the artists he has performed with are: Los Lobos/Santana Tina Turner Madonna EVITA High flying adored Deepak Chopra Sea of Love Michael Ball Me and my shadow Ana Belin El Huevo de Colon - Orquesta Mondragon La Corte de Pharon The cast of NINE Unusual Way with Laura Benanti He sang beautifully in "The Kings of Mambo" Where he played the part of Trumpeter/Composer Nestor. Here we listen to him sing the beautiful Jorge Drexler composition, Al Otro Ladro del Rio, at the Academy Awards ceremony February 2005 accompanied by the ledgendary Carlos Santana. Antonio played Guitar in Once Upon a time in Mexico Antonio Sang "Maria Maria" and played guitar in the film Imagining Argentina He also sang on the Sabera foundations cd VOICES OF HOPE which he sang John Lennons "Imagine" On Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure. Listen to "Los Peses en el Rio" During the Academy Awards 2005 he sang the Oscar winning song Al Otro Lado del Rio Antonio appeared on stage in San Remo, playing one of his own compositions on the piano. He also played a short second number. Readily available on the internet, this was only shown on US TV . Alas he did not sing. San Remo1 San Remo2 One of our favourite Antonio Films, which he sang many songs in was of course EVITA Oh what A Circus The soundtrack is available in shops everywhere. And If you long to hear him at his best I suggest You GET IT! Another of Andrew Loydd Webbers productions is Phantomn of the opera. Antonio never co-starred in the film version. But did sing phantomn with Sarah Brightman at webbers birthday show. Here we listen to that song.
